Blog3

Hello everyone, this is Brian from team Oreo. Today we had an all work day pretty much. The project is going steady. Jack wasn't with us today but he has been busy making assets for our game in his absence. Joe gave me textures to use for the game today which is really helpful, now i can begin to make the level PRETTY. The level block-out however, is fully complete and was delivered to the teacher today. Everything is still on pace. Once Jack returns we'll begin placing assets in the level. I am going to be working on traps for the level for the time being.

Week 2 0f Game Production 3

Hey everyone, welcome back to Team Oreo's blog. We're starting to kick everything into gear now. We now have a solid idea of what we will be doing for the next few weeks for the half way point of our project. We have assigned all of our jobs to whom is most capable. We just now created our milestone goals and they are very manageable. We still have yet to run into any problems, we are a solid group. The one thing that might not work on time is all the kismet stuff we want to do. Some of it may be too grandiose, or may not, we'll have to see when we get to that point. This class was spent getting everything together and solidifying ideas. Our general idea for the game is a good one, we are not getting in over our heads hopefully. We're a good team and definitely look forward to what we have in store in the future!

Hello and Welcome to our Project!

How's it going everyone? I'm Joe, along with Brian, and Jack. We are working on a game in the Unreal Engine. We are still pretty early on in our brainstorming of what kind of game we want it to be, so far we are thinking stealth, with a cyber or steam punk theme. I, personally am an artist and a little bit of a level designer. I initially planned on working alone and doing an art demo in Unreal, but Jack and Brian approached me to help them out with the work load of their game, and I was glad to accept. Like I said before, we are in a very early stage of development; we just started brainstorming. So far we need to discuss our milestone goals, but I am pretty sure for me it will be to do materials, assets, some level, and maybe a little bit of the mechanics. So far there are no problems, everything is starting off pretty well. We all agree on the genre and theme of the game pretty much, so no discrepancies thus far. We just started planning our game, so problems have yet to arrive. I have a good feeling about this project, along with my other core class, I want to make these projects portfolio pieces. Thank you for your time and stay tuned to see what we can come up with.
